WSJ2011 Fund-Raising Project - Contingent Hits the first $5,000 Mark
WSJ2011 Singapore Contingent through our weekly sponsorship of souvenir items from Viewpoint Trading, had contributed to our first $5,000 mark within the first 3 weeks of promotion. Through sheer determination and belief in fulfilling each member's dream of participating in at least one World Scout Jamboree, the Scouts from various Units, took the opportunity to get to know each other through this service learning. Through this involvement, they built on their mutual understanding, team-work, respect and trust. Every individual was tasked and given opportunity to demonstrate leadership and management skills, providing the Contingent Management Team, a good platform to better understand the strength and needs of each individual as well as the Patrol's strength.
What a good turnout! Scouts with their families, old and young, came to China Square Central Flea Market to snap up our good collection of badges and souvenirs. Our WSJ2011 Limited Edition Commemorative Badge (500pcs only) priced at $10.00 a piece, had received numerous reservations. Thank you all for your tremendous Scouting support!
